Rocksteady Studios has officially released Season 4 Episode 8 for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, marking the game's last major content update. Launched to mixed reviews in February 2024, the game faced challenges due to its unexpected live-service model. Less than a year later, on December 9, 2024, Rocksteady announced the end of new content development, with the final patch rolling out on January 14.
Despite the game's lukewarm reception, players can continue enjoying Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League online with friends as all server-based features will remain active. Following a brief server downtime, the final update, Season 4 Episode 8: Balance, is now accessible across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
Season 4 Episode 8 introduces the Libra Infamy Set, inspired by the DC Super-Villain Libra, and comes with a set of powerful Notorious weapons. Players can also dive into a new Mayhem mission for the ultimate showdown with Brainiac. Additionally, the update includes crucial bug fixes and gameplay enhancements, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels, ensuring players get more value from their time spent in the game.
For those who prefer playing offline, the Season 4 Episode 7 update from December enables offline play, allowing access to the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection. Although Rocksteady has not announced a full server shutdown, the offline mode ensures that players can still enjoy the game if servers are ever taken offline.
If you missed out on experiencing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League during its run, you can still grab it through PlayStation Plus until February 3, alongside other titles like The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.
