Based on a game developer's resume, Gotham Knights may be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. This intriguing possibility, highlighted by YouTuber Doctre81 on January 5th, 2025, stems from a resume entry detailing work on Gotham Knights for two yet-to-be-released platforms.
One platform is potentially the original Nintendo Switch, given a previous ESRB rating (since removed) for the console. However, performance issues on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S might have hindered a Switch port. The second, unreleased platform strongly suggests the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
While no official announcements have been made by Warner Bros. Games or Nintendo, the evidence warrants consideration. The Switch 2 remains the only highly anticipated, unreleased console currently on the horizon.
The initial October 2022 release of Gotham Knights on PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X was followed by speculation of a Nintendo Switch release after the ESRB rating emerged. While this never materialized, the past rating and the recent YouTube report fuel hopes for a Switch 2 port.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa's May 7th, 2024, tweet promised further Switch 2 details "within this fiscal year," ending in March 2025.
