Following reported delays in the Xbox certification process, Microsoft has issued an apology to Jyamma Games for their debut title, Enotria: The Last Song. This action comes after the developer publicly voiced frustration over a two-month period of silence from Microsoft regarding their Xbox submission.
Microsoft Apology Leads to Renewed Hope for Enotria Xbox Release
The initial delay prompted Jyamma Games to indefinitely postpone the Xbox release, with CEO Jacky Greco expressing disappointment on Discord. However, a swift response from Microsoft, including a personal apology, has changed the situation dramatically.
Jyamma Games publicly thanked Phil Spencer and the Xbox team on Twitter (X) for their prompt action and assistance. They also acknowledged the significant support from their player community, stating that their voices were heard and appreciated. The studio is now working collaboratively with Microsoft to bring Enotria: The Last Song to Xbox as soon as possible, although a firm release date remains unconfirmed.
Greco further elaborated on the positive developments in a Discord update, confirming Microsoft's apology and their commitment to resolving the issue quickly.
This situation highlights ongoing challenges some developers face with Xbox releases. Funcom recently reported optimization issues porting Dune: Awakening to the Xbox Series S, underscoring the complexities of console development.
While the PS5 and PC versions of Enotria: The Last Song are still slated for September 19th, the Xbox release remains uncertain. For more information on Enotria: The Last Song, please refer to the link below.
