"Blades of Fire: Unveiling New Details"

The team at MercurySteam, comprised of former members of Rebel Act Studios, brings a wealth of experience from their work on the cult classic, Severance: Blade of Darkness. Released back in 2001, this game was notable for its innovative combat system, which allowed players to dismember enemies, injecting a raw sense of brutality and realism into the gameplay. This groundbreaking approach has served as a major inspiration for MercurySteam's latest project.

In crafting their new game, the developers have also looked to modern action-adventure titles for inspiration. They've drawn from the cinematic combat and richly detailed world of the God of War reboot by Santa Monica Studio. The goal is to blend fast-paced action with RPG elements, aiming to deliver a gaming experience that is both thrilling and deeply immersive.

A standout feature of Blades of Fire is its innovative weapon crafting system. Players can forge their own blades, fine-tuning aspects such as length, weight, durability, and balance. This customization enables each player to create weapons that perfectly suit their individual combat style, adding a personal touch to the gameplay.

The narrative of Blades of Fire centers on the warrior Aran de Lira, who embarks on a quest against a cunning queen with the power to turn metal into stone. Throughout his journey, Aran will confront 50 different types of enemies, each demanding a tailored combat strategy to overcome.

Mark your calendars for May 22, 2025, when Blades of Fire will launch on PC via the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. Get ready to dive into a world where your choices in weapon crafting and combat strategies can define your path to victory.
