Supercell's Squad Busters: A Solid Start, But Falling Short of Expectations
Supercell's latest mobile game, Squad Busters, a MOBA RTS hybrid, has achieved 40 million installs and $24 million in net revenue within its first month. The US led in player numbers, followed by Indonesia, Brazil, Turkey, and South Korea. While these figures are respectable, they pale in comparison to Supercell's previous successes.
The game's performance reveals a concerning trend. Spending has decreased since launch, with the $24 million significantly lower than Brawl Stars' $43 million and Clash Royale's over $115 million in their respective first months.
