在时长约5分钟的开发者首发日更新视频中，Neumann和Wloch解释了游戏问题的成因以及他们的解决方案。Neumann承认他们预料到游戏会受到高度关注，但低估了玩家数量。“这确实压垮了我们的基础设施，”他说。
为了进一步解释这些问题，Neumann让Wloch补充说明。“一开始，当玩家启动游戏时，他们基本上是从服务器请求数据，而服务器从数据库中检索这些数据，”他说。这个数据库有缓存，并进行了20万模拟用户的测试，但实际玩家数量仍然超出了它的承受能力。
Wloch和他的团队试图通过重启服务和增加游戏登录人数来解决这个问题。他们将排队规模和速度提高了五倍。然而，“这可能只运行了半个小时，然后缓存突然再次崩溃，”Wloch说。
他们很快发现了加载时间过长或不完整的原因。服务饱和后会发生故障，被迫反复重启和重试。“这会导致极其漫长的初始加载，本不应该这么长，”他解释道。随着时间的推移，缺失的数据会导致加载画面停留在97%，迫使玩家重启游戏。
